My First Scrappy Post

I've been scrapbooking for about 5 years now. I started doing strictly Creative Memories. Then I started to add stamps. Now I'm trying to experiment with all kinds of new techniques and tools. I definitely don't get to scrap as much as I want but I try to do it when I can.
A few months ago I got a Cricut Expression. I can't believe how I lived without it for so long! Besides helping with my albums the Cricut has inspired me to do more home crafts and lots of cards.
Anyway I don't really expect to have many readers on this blog. I've created it primarily for myself. I have been entering some of the fun giveaways that other bloggers have. I would also like to start submitting some entries into various blog challenges. To do these things it seems you typically need to have a blog... so here we are.

Here are some of my recent projects:
This is a Valentine's Day card for my son. I made the ewe a little dirty; it seemed more "boy" this way:)

Here's the inside:
The sheep was downloaded from here: http://designed2delight.blogspot.com/
I also used a free SVG file for the scalloped heart. The inside text was done with my Cricut pens.

This next one is for my hubbie but I don't really think I'm liking it. I'll probably end up making another one.
I used the same heart and my Cricut pens again. I also used some stamps and embossing powder.

This is for a baby shower. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend but this will be sent with the gift.

Sorry for my awful camera! The card looks a little different in person. The clouds were done with Stickles; they don't look so crazy in person. I also used glossy accents on the umbrella.

Here's a baby card done for a friend:
The onesies were done with SCAL. I kind of wish I hadn't stamped on them. And I wanted to stamp the edge of the scalloped circle and forgot. *Sigh* Never enough time in the day. The Welcome Little One stamp is from Stampin' Up. I think the paper is as well... I've had it for a long time.

This card was done for a little boy's 3rd birthday. So glad that I decided to take pics of some of my finished projects because this card was supposed to be sent out weeks ago with his gift!! I kind of hope my friend isn't seeing this right now.
I really love the way it came out because I based it on the invitation for his party.
The firetruck is an SVG file downloaded from here: http://dscrapbookingroom.blogspot.com/2008/10/for-your-favorite-firefighter.html. The stars and number were done with SCAL.

Well that's all for now. I'm working on some more baby things but I can't post those yet... I can't let my sister in-law see yet.
